Pros

+ One of a very few IT companies in this town and probably the only one that does actual software development 100% in house. + Rather stable business - occupies a very specific niche with not too much competition, not only in Poland or in Europe but worldwide. + Small enough so you know everybody.

Kontras

- Very small company but extremely bureaucratized with internal procedures on literally everything. - Owned by two brothers who always fight each other creating communication and authority problems. - The owners rarely accept third party opinions, only promoting people who always share their vision. - Run by internally sourced CEO who never worked anywhere else. Imagine the wealth of experience he brings to the table. - The CEO is more focused on using company resources to run his pet-project of supposed-to-be-a-comedy, full of dry IT humor youtube channel instead of actually growing the company. - In general, considering all the above, this creates "just do your job, don't stick your head up and laugh when your boss laughs" kind of atmosphere. - Technologically speaking, the company operates in a very niche domain. This has some advantages (see pros) but they basically risk an instant collapse of the whole business if the ecosystem they are leeching on suddenly changes. - Also, salaries below the market average. - Overly selective and too demanding recruitment process especially for developers. Disclaimer: As the company is very small and so it is very easy to identify previous employees, I will not reveal the real position name and actual years I worked there.

- Skilled teammates and steady workload. - Day‑to‑day processes offer learning opportunities.

- Micromanagement at the task level slowed delivery. - Feedback on ongoing cases was sometimes given in group settings, which felt uncomfortable; would be better 1:1. - DEI efforts had limited visible impact, and decision‑making tables lacked diverse perspectives.

Pros

- If you're a hard worker and you're good at doing your job, you'll get noticed and appreciated very quickly. - The top management knows their stuff - they're leading the company very well and the company itself is very stable and continuously growing. - You have a real impact on the development of the company and its software products, regardless of your position. Any ideas to improve the company's operations, procedures, etc. are greatly appreciated. - The company provides many opportunities for self-development (e.g. dedicated time for self-training, any literature you need, and more). - The atmosphere and people are great. You really have tons of work but everyone, including the CEO, will always find time to joke around or just talk on each and every topic. - There are also many benefits and perks like wellness program, medical package, life insurance, pizza/sushi/other-kind-of-food days, company events (including an annual ski trip), and more.

Kontras

- I suppose some may find the amount of work overwhelming. That's not a "con", but if you're looking for a job where you can slack off, then CodeTwo is not for you.
