Pros

-Flexible. -Remote. -No need to pay for anything.

Kontras

-Offers very little (if any) benefits for unpaid internship. -Requires a lot of knowledge on mathematics. You might need to be good at Calculus or at the very least, passed three or more calculus courses. -Communication is 100% online. No meetings. (Can be considered a boon for some I guess). -Easy to get lost on what to do next. A spreadsheet and an email is all you get. -You're expected to know what you're doing. (This is the worst one because I think it's ridiculous when they don't specify exactly what you need to know in the application and all of the sudden, they bring it up the moment you start working with them.) I am not even exaggerating either. It just shows that they're looking to hire just about anyone but they're afraid that bringing it up in the application will "scare" off potential interns. This internship taught me quite a few things about what I needed to know and I don't regret spending my time here. I think ClassCalc will be a pretty good software for math students and teachers because it was easy to use and I, even as a non-math person, found it simple. That doesn't justify working as an intern though. The management was polite but they didn't really help me prepare at all. I spent MORE time trying to figure the stuff out instead of actually doing the stuff. I spent so much time only to show so little for it. My experience so far, hasn't been great and I think they're capable of doing better. I have made some mistakes and I admit that perhaps I'm not the most suitable intern that they can possibly get but I think the management should recognize that people like me want to learn, want to work hard and want to grow with the company. It seems to me that they don't really appreciate mistakes at all. I think they're just looking to get a lot while offering so little. That is why I cannot recommend anyone interning here. It's not the best company that welcomes newbies with open arms. They're just testing waters.
