Do not recommend - Junior System Support Specialist bei Circdata: Mitarbeiterbewertung

I personally enjoyed my 2 years at Circdata, working within a great team of people as well as a lot of lessons learnt. I have been able to take away a lot of transferable skills from Circdata. Salary reviews do happen if they are deserved i.e. if you put a bit extra work in. (to a good standard) In the AM and operations teams you have the option of working abroad such as Europe, US & Asia as well as across the UK. (It may sound glamorous but there isn’t much time spent sightseeing!) There is good teamwork within the account management team and within the company as a whole ensuring the events go smoothly as possible. This is something that makes the job easier and more enjoyable.

- a lot of working hours which will mean sometimes working at weekends and into your evening but that’s expected working in events. If you don’t want to put the hours in, this isn’t the role for you. - the workload can get intense during peak season, for example running a live event whilst ensuring the products and event preparation are delivered on time for the following week.

Overall, working at Circdata was a fairly enjoyable experience. For an entry level job, it was well-paid and there were perks like 'pizza fridays' where Dominoes pizza would get bought in for lunch for everyone. The work was varied, a lot of client contact, good administrative experience and the chance to travel and go to different shows in the UK and abroad. There was general good career progression but if you were an account manager there wasn't really unless you became a Senior Account Manager.

Some of the male staff made inappropriate and disrespectful remarks and comments, whether about myself or about other women, whilst working at shows. This was my least favourite part of the job. In hind sight I should have made a formal complaint to the MD and I regret that I did not. When attending shows, be prepared to work long days. Not uncommon to work from 6am - 7pm with little breaks in between.
