Pros

Working for a commercial roofing contractor you know that you will always have opportunities to make money in sales. This is a recession proof industry. They are the largest commercial roofing company in the US and that carries a lot of weight when selling to national customers. Compensation is above average for the industry and if your book of business is already established you can make a tremendous amount on commissions and bonus.

Kontras

Inconsistent quality and workmanship based on which office throughout the nation is doing the work. Old school boys club mentality but that is to be expected everywhere in the roofing industry. Leadership preaches that success can only be accomplished if you follow their rules. Thinking outside the box is not welcomed. No CRM System... a lot of time and money are wasted in inefficient processes and redundancies.

The role was marketed as a sales position but functioned more as an administrative role with limited hands-on training or field exposure. Communication and support were lacking, with canceled check-ins, exclusion from meetings, and little guidance on account development. Training was largely self-directed, as managers were focused on their own workloads. The company also enforces a strict in-office schedule despite limited collaboration, and employees should be aware that company vehicles are heavily monitored despite being presented as available for personal use.
