Some of the last hires before I moved on were just head-scratchers.
Management has little to no clue on how to properly train and grow the skills of their employees. Real structure practically does not exist, so you better have a natural inclination for IT or you will sink in a chaotic and disorganized environment.
Sales staff has little to no clue on how the tech side of things work - leading to poorly scoped and implemented projects with lots of issues / missed details.
After reaching a certain level, you can get a small raise for every tech cert that you earn after that. A laughably naive approach to prove that sustained effort is rewarded.
