Upper management tends to follow a guru mentality. They find a new "favorite" and allow pushy people to sell them a "new and better" way of doing things. Seldom learn from and/or fix mistakes. Little room for growth without a PhD. Arbitrary promotions and compensation . An unclear bonus structure based on a salary that is 20-30% less than most other biotech companies.
