Not given time to learn the training programs. A lot of on the job training from others that learned on the job. Not the most effective way to learn because the knowledge gaps can be significant resulting in deficiencies related to your long term success with the company. In other words, people may not always teach you everything they know because they feel it will be a threat to their future success. They may not want you to be their future boss.
