Pros

Right off the bat, I want to let everyone know that this job is 100% commission and I hope that this review stays on here so people will know what to expect. I found out really quickly that this wasn’t for me. Mike was the one to interview me and said that after looking at my resume, he would bypass the whole screening process because he liked me and would directly proceed with training. Aside from the negatives, which I hope you READ FIRST so you know what to expect from this job, I cannot say there were no positives that came about this job. The atmosphere and environment is high-energy and positive. Everyone was highly positive and collaborative. If you needed help or words of encouragement, coworkers were there for you. The morning meetings, usually held by Mike or another Lead Account Executive, were motivating and inspirational. Everyone encourages you to become better and that you can achieve your goals with a great mindset. There was team bonding activities that were fun to be at and participate in as well. Words of affirmations do help you when you start to doubt your capabilities. The positives that I took away from this job include improvement of communication skills and people skills. I learned how to better listen and tailor fit solutions for the customer. The opportunity for advancement is there and the possibility of becoming the Director of your own office can help drive you to do better. This job was not for me, but that does not mean it won’t work for you. If you are willing to put in A LOT of hours love to meet/talk to new people every day, and willing to put up with the negatives I addressed in this review, then this job could be for you. All I can say is that it takes a particular type of person to become successful at this job. I hope this 1000% truthful review stays up.

Kontras

At first, Mike was really positive and encouraging, then after two weeks of not hitting goals, it was apparent that Mike already lost faith and made that 100% clear. I was told by a Lead Account Executive that during a meeting (where they decide if people are paired off for the day or going alone), that Mike questioned him when he said he would partner with me in my territory because I would ruin his ‘closing streak’ and that “I made zero deals in my first two weeks”. When I first researched this job, there were only mostly positive reviews so I thought it was going to be fine. After working this job, I found those reviews to be false and those one or two negative reviews were accurate. One review stated that you start the day at 7AM and ended at7PM (M-F) if you were lucky enough, and Campaign Development responded saying that this was false and that the office closes at 5PM. After actually working the job, it was frowned upon, especially by Mike, to leave your territory by 7PM if you didn’t close at all or closed on enough sales. This is not to include the fact that it was mandatory to return to the office regardless to report your numbers for the day. I had a territory nearby my home (less than 10 minutes away) but I HAD to go back to the office which was a 40-minute drive from my territory and another 30 minute drive back home. During my ‘training week’, I saw that this took a toll on my trainers (Lead Account Executives). When you get promoted to “Lead Account Executive”, if you didn’t close on a certain number of sales, you were expected to work on Saturday to hit goals. The job basically consists of you driving your own vehicle around to businesses in a certain ‘territory’ you are assigned, trying to get people to switch providers. You rack up miles on your car, had to pay for your own gas and tolls, and there was no reimbursement/compensation for any of that. No benefits whatsoever. It’s a cold door to door sales job so be prepared to deal with rude people and sometimes shut down harshly before getting a word out if you still decide to go forward and work for this company.

We apologize for any miscommunication regarding hours and will make sure that response is edited to reflect our standards hours but that they are subject to change based one client deadlines and expectations. We are confident in the fact that our team has the opportunity to dictate their income through commission based pay structure. Our client has extremely big goals for us, therefore, we look for team members that are entrepreneurial minded and understand that long hours are sometimes necessary to hit goals. Regardless, we understand no one likes surprises and will do a better job covering expectations with hours and sales in our interview process. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Pros

People are nice. They try to make mornings very active

Kontras

-I worked here for 3 weeks-1 month and I saw 10 people quit in this time. -There are ZERO benefits. You have to pay for your gas (territories are often almost an hour away), no health insurance, no dental nor eye insurance, no 401 K, no PTO, no lunches (you have to eat at restaurants everyday) -You work from 7:30 am to the hour that the boss wants you to work for. Sometimes is more than 12 hours at the field. -100% commission and the average of sales you close per week are 3. -If you don`t close 3 sales from Monday through Friday, you MUST work on Saturdays. -They use the same scrip for hiring people. Mike would talk with you and tell you that you are amazing and that he would not pass your resume to corporate because he has the power to decide if you can work for them. And then you are offered the job on the spot (after the second interview) -They play favorites on some people and make decisions based on what these think and not on what is established by the company. -You go to businesses without them expecting you. So yes, people are going to hate you as soon as you enter in job places.

Reviewer, We are appreciative of the feedback left, as we always look to improve as an organization and for our people. Thank you for noting that the team was nice and the environment active. While we're glad to know that you were with us for a month, we know we did not have 10 people leave our company in that duration of time. While turnover is common in sales, we work to manage ours by focusing on hiring the right people. We offer an optional benefits plan but that is only available after 90 days employment with the company. If this was not properly explained during orientation, we apologize for the miscommunication. You are correct in that we do not pay for our team member's lunches but going out to eat every day is excessive. That seems like a personal choice. Believe it or not, we do think everyone is special or else we wouldn't hire them. Part of developing people is building up their self-confidence and helping them see their talents and abilities. We're sorry we don't share the same viewpoint that everyone shouldn't be made to feel special. Our strategy for hiring and developing better business leaders works, so we will stick with it. Everyone is important in the company, undoubtedly, but there are some people who's performance allows them greater responsibility and influence in the company. This is normal for any organization. All in all, we appreciate the feedback and wish you luck in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Campaign Development Corp Management Team
