The C-suite and executive level management are not business people, they are sales people. In my time there I watched many hard working corporate employees be treated terribly by a sales rep, and then management would take the side of the rep, and tell the employee to be better at tending to the rep's needs. It was absolutely degrading and humiliating to never have the leaders of the company back you up. Basically all that matters at Caliber is that the sales rep's feel like they are heroes and the corporate employees manage large workloads with little pay. The only recognition that employees receive is a Christmas party once a year. The past 2 years they invited sales reps and managers and they ended up winning more raffle prizes than the corporate employees did. This was upsetting to everyone, and when many people voiced their frustration, management did nothing to repair trust. If you are a corporate employee/claims -floor agent, you will not be respected. Your opinion will not be taken seriously when it is up against a sales rep's, or a VP's. In HR we were constantly asked to lie to Dish Network and Sprint (Caliber's partners) and allow felon's to work with us and just "ignore" their background checks. When we refused to do this they would throw tantrums and find another way to skirt the system. They would manipulate other employees or sales managers to allow these reps to sell even though they were not authorized. Management claims that their goal is to be an upfront, honest door-to-door sales company because so many are corrupt. In my experience they are just as shady and manipulative as any bad sales company, they are just preaching loyalty to the employees and hoping no one notices how terrible they are.
