Freedom to work in any subject as far as you publish. You can easily move within the country if you find hosting institutions. The system works with two institutions, one paying your salary (CONICET) and another hosting you and (hopefully) giving you space and resources to do your research.
Kontras
The institution is highly bureochratic as almost everything is in Argentina. Institutional support is completely absent. Responsabilities regarding the well being of personnel are delegated to hosting institution. This means that normally you cannot take responsabilities of any kind.
