I have worked at Cogistics for 4 yrs now. Cogistics provides a comfortable well maintained work environment. Work area is clean, bright and new. My coworkers are friendly and overall get along good. Pay is decent, 401k is great, and end of year gift/bonus is always nice. Of 25 years in transportation Cogistics is the second best company I have worked for.

Cogistics specializes in expedite/production shipments and can at times be stressful in short bursts. Cogistics is also a family run business so opportunity for advancement is limited.

Co-workers and clients made the time bearable. Somewhat flexible starting time. The work itself was quite enjoyable.

Work atmosphere is always tense, occasionally hostile. As mentioned by previous review, training is pretty much non existent and senior management is quick to assign blame and openly criticize. No perks, no raises for the past 4yrs, health insurance very expensive and basic, one week vacation for first three years employment, afterwards two weeks is max available. No performance reviews. All email, telephone calls, mail are monitored as is the daily work activities by surveillance cameras throughout the office. Salaried employees are required to work 42.5hrs per week (a fact not revealed during your interview -- however conveniently brought to your attention at a later date after hire). Management will not hesitate to press salaried employees to come in early or work late to cover for an absent coworker (note : comp time is generally not given) .
