Pros

One of best assets Bytedance can provide you is work on fast pace environment, where A/B Test is truly appreciated, also if you're interested on having a depth insight on chinese culture there is probably one of the best places to be at. Salaries are competitive

If you're a non chinese working on overseas Bytedance Office, you'll probably deal with lots of racism. Literally 98% of company's leaders are chinese, most of the time not available or open to adapt / receive insights from local culture. As any startup growing fast Bytedance has lack of processes and internal organization, add to that most of employees are not familiar with overseas culture and ignore it. Also, there's no tranparency regarding company's culture, business strategy or even DATA. The company expects you to achieve great goals and be innovative, but do not offer you the right support for that. The environment is also very Toxic, which reflect on the high turnover. on the office I I've worked 7 out of 10 people suffered either form anxiety or depression working there. If you're interested on a balanced work life, transparency, ethics, copanies that value people, I wouldn't recommend Bytedance.
