Pros
After proving my worth as an apprentice IT technician, the owner allowed me to go to on-sites alone to represent the company. The work consisted of a lot of hands-on customer service IT experience -- virus removal, preparing a workstation for company use (usually dental). A lot of dealing with customer service over the phone as well. If I stayed on, I'm sure there would have been more opportunities to learn, but not advance.
Kontras
Some of the managers were a little difficult to work with/around. Others, specifically George Santillan, really took to heart his role as my "mentor," and taught me a lot about the business and how to succeed in the field. As an intern, the compensation isn't incredible. Also, the company was running into a few roadblocks after expanding too much with too little staff to deal with clients, as is common in the startup service IT industry. It seems they have dealt with this problem, however.
