Pros

I enjoy carrying out our companys mission. What we do is an important benefit for any community. All of the folks "in the trenches" are hardworking and have molded one of the best teams I have ever worked on. Management in our office is present and engaged in helping us grow not only as employees for BusPatrol but as people in general. The health benefits are great, and the PTO/Sick time policy is generous as well.

There are two factions to this company. The faction that "owns" us is located in another country. They make zero attempt to be communicative or transparent about where the company is headed and how everyone fits into that vision here in the VA office. It seems that upper management is unaware, or unwilling to learn, what those who work below them do and how they contribute to the success of the company. When they are present in the office, which is rare, it is like a high school clique. They swoop in, ignore everyone, disrupt the office by being loud and vulgar, then leave without making any sort of valuable connection with the employees. It has created a culture of fear and animosity. There also isn't a standard progress review process. There is no way to be held accountable for your duties, nor is there a way to be rewarded for exceeding the expectations of those duties.
