Pros
Bridgeline is a small company making a large impact in it's space. Upper management is sincerely concerned with each employee's opportunities within the company, as well as their personal and family lives. There is a high level of accountability required from each employee in their role, but it's appropriate for what you're being hired to do. The culture is high energy, with lots of celebrations for successes and plenty of public acknowledgement for individual and team contributions and achievements. As a software-as-a-service organization, you will hear often how the "customer is first" and this company strives to meet and exceed customer expectations on a daily basis. Employees are treated with respect and the company respects that each employee is here to support their family and loved ones first and foremost.
Kontras
If you are the sort of person who cannot handle working independently yet maintaining a high level of transparency and accountability in your role, then I suppose those traits of Bridgeline's culture would be considered a "con" for you. The company is very straightforward that you are being hired to perform a task, to fill a critical role in the company's business model, and that you are expected to apply yourself to the best of your ability on a daily basis in your role, to seek help proactively when you need it, and to keep the customer's interests at the forefront of each decision you make. All that said, this is an enjoyable place to work and if there is a good mutual fit, then you will experience a corporate family environment driven toward success and your own family will reap the benefits of your hard work both in monetary compensation but also a long, enthusiastic career.
