Pros

Great Benefit of free-meal Great co-workers (excluding management) Lots of overtime (BUT it's also in cons) Great place to work for - only because I'm working in the museum.

Kontras

Old fashioned & Stubborn upper management Unorganized company Inconsistent food in the restaurant to serve the guests No Management support seen because they are TOO busy 'tasting' the food (Really, it's just eating - at least 5 times daily is eating) Inconsistent staff meals (sometimes blob and next thing ) Too many supervisors & managers, yet lack entry level staffs to get through the daily operations, so lots of overtime whenever the managers call you in. Find yourself working while staffing is cut to their standard of module -- ratio of 1 cashier, 1 server/attendant, 1 dishwasher (if lucky 2), 2 cooks, and 3 managers serving 1000+ guests when in season and about 500+ guests when in school time.

Pros

Kontras

The biggest con was having to work alongside a bully, a person who cannot let go of control, and constant negativity at all hours of the day you're with them. This particular person has been with the company for many years, and unfortunately no matter how many people have voiced their concerns about this person, they continue to employ them and let this person behave the way they do. They are insubordinate, rude, and quite frankly a huge bully. I hear from staff that I'm still in contact with that they are still there berating the staff. It's very unfortunate, because it can be an amazing place to work at. Management is too afraid to confront this employee, and just sweep it under the rug. I had so many fun ideas, but the employee I had to work with would never let me do anything out of spite. They didn't want to feel like they were losing control. They also said NO to everything I wanted to do, including using mugs simply because they didn't want to wash the dishes at the end of the day. They also would tell me not to make drinks for my coworkers so "they wouldn't get used to it". These drinks were free to employees, mind you. This person also got into multiple arguments with various staff members, and was constantly down their throats about meaningless things that could easily be resolved. Who would want to work with someone like this? It got so bad, that I was sick to my stomach every night because I just didn't want to go to work and see this person. My mental health was at an all time low. I'm actually at a much better point with my mental health, but it took a long time to feel confident again. After voicing concerns and hearing from other coworkers and their experiences, I just knew management have already heard this story before, and will not do anything about it. That's when I knew I had to get out of there. The things is, this person knows how to play the game with management. They put on a show and have a different personality when management is around. As of today, this person is still there (Revive Cafe) and it's just sad to hear that.
