Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback and for the years you spent with BisectHosting. We’re glad to hear that the growth opportunities, autonomy, benefits, and ability to work across different projects stood out during your time here. You’re right that game server hosting is a unique niche and that success here often requires both technical ability and domain-specific knowledge. We’ve found that people who are curious, self-driven, and interested in the gaming space tend to do especially well in that environment. We also appreciate your advice about continuing to give people room to grow, prove themselves, and find the role where they can make the biggest impact. Internal growth is something we care about deeply, and we’re glad that was part of your experience. Thank you again for your contributions, and we wish you the best in what comes next!

Pros

Most people are great and there are a lot of great opportunities to learn about the IT field.

Kontras

Compensation is a major concern. The pay rate feels extremely low for the level of IT support, troubleshooting, customer service, and platform knowledge expected from employees. Around $15/hour feels out of step with the responsibilities of the role, especially when many entry-level Tier 1 technical support positions start closer to the $18–$20/hour range. The bigger issue is the culture around pay discussions. Instead of feeling like compensation concerns are taken seriously, employees can feel discouraged from bringing them up at all. That creates a sense that retention and morale are not being prioritized.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you’ve had a positive experience with your coworkers and that the role has provided meaningful opportunities to learn more about the IT field. We understand compensation is an important part of the employee experience. We work to be transparent by publishing pay information in our job postings before candidates apply, and we evaluate compensation based on the role, market competitiveness, benefits, remote work, and the level of responsibility required. Support roles at BisectHosting are designed with progression opportunities. As employees advance from entry-level support into higher support levels or other internal roles, compensation increases along with the additional technical skill, ownership, and complexity of the work. Many team members have grown from support into higher-paying roles across the company, and we want employees to understand what is needed to take that next step. We also appreciate the feedback about communication. Even when compensation decisions are tied to role level and performance expectations, employees should feel comfortable having constructive conversations about advancement and growth. We’ll continue working to make those expectations clearer and easier to discuss. Thank you again for your feedback.
