Pros

They hire fun, young individuals who all lead similar lifestyles. That's the hook and why most people stay. Your co-workers and the perks (beer, parties, ice cream) will be amazing, it's the management and the lack of leadership/ organizational structure that ruins this company.

Kontras

Remember that this company is really good at marketing when you read all the articles stating that this is a "top company" and pays "well". This company does not live up to it's reputation once you get on the inside. The CEO is a loose canon. It appears that he bases decisions off of emotions and illogical thought. Nobody has a secure position in this company as he will immediately fire anybody without any reason or warning. Very few women are promoted in this company, there is a very strong boys club. Women are respected but it does not appear that their opinions are highly sought after or taken seriously when provided. New, naive employees will be promised career opportunities and raises with "hard work and creativity" but promotions are usually given based upon who the CEO chooses as the flavor of the week.

Pros

The brand is amazing and you can see remnants of fun that used to make this place unique like the beer fridge and minimal hierarchy. They have decent time off when shutdowns are included.

Kontras

The current CEO waffles between crying in town halls to screaming at teams in morning stand up meetings then sending emails about how various people and teams are the best she has ever worked with. You never know which mood you will get. Sales goals are not achievable and layoffs are frequent. Long-time employees avoid promotion because they want to survive so they have to keep bringing in outside management and then they either fire them or they leave often in under a year.
