Shakai-hoken is paid. There is a short training course before starting. Paid leave after six months. Some nice schools and generally friendly staff at the schools.

Exact schedules and schools informed late evening the day before. Long working hours for full-time instructors. Enforced goal setting for all classes leads to long preparation time. Frequently forced to run to travel between schools. The never-ending (mindless) assessment of instructors from management feels like an OCD.
