Must be great if you’re in with the management.

After multiple team members who were of the utmost importance to the business left, I had been left with somehow propping up the team and then asked to justify my role with no support. It’s all well and good promoting 20-somethings to run a team but when they don’t know how to manage and don’t know how to support there are clearly going to be consequences. Just calling someone a ‘Head of’ doesn’t make them suddenly good enough for the role.
