Pros
I have to think hard for pros. It depends on which department you work for. If you work in Operations and operation support groups, there is no pros I can think of. Poor compensation, no appreciation for hard work and no growth opportunities. If you are in PD, people seems happier.
Kontras
1. Poor incompetent management. Big bosses know nothing about processes on the floor. Politics and favortism are their expertise. It doesn't matter if you are a qualified person for promotion because the people get promoted are people who know how to kiss asses. Micromanagment from top down. 2. Very negative company culture. Most people are very unhappy and openly talk about finding new jobs. People are afraid of punishment from management when make a honest mistakes and throw other people under the bus. 3. There are high turnover both in management and non-management. Managment will not do anything to timely replace the lost resources until people are absolutely burned out. They keep placeing interim managers in critical positions. I have never had so many interim managers and temp employees for support in any of my other jobs. 4. Management is lacking vision because they only care about how to please their bosses and climb the corporate ladder. They invest nothing to develope employees. There are rediculou layers of middle and lower managment. Micromanagement is from top down. They do not trust their people, manage their employees like elementry school kids. 5. Compensation is very poor, much lower than industrial standards. 6. Systems are very old. A lot of paper and manual process. People are old school thinking, resistent to new ideas and changes.
