Pros

Literally zero, except maybe for the fact that they put you through so much nonsense you can handle ANYTHING afterwards. I was able to really beef up my resume.

-If you work in sales, like I did, you're responsible for everything under the sun. You handle everything that goes on with the design team except actual designing; everything that goes on with production (including having to decipher what the factories are saying about your goods which I've never dealt with at any other company); allocating orders and shipping (lol yes); order entry, style creation, finances, new account set up, I MEAN EVERYTHING. -On top of handling all that, you're expected to sell like a maniac and open new accounts on top of handling current business (even though they just moved to a warehouse that doesn't support pick and pack - a pretty standard way of shipping to retailers here in 2017). I had opened up communication with two HUGE retailers and after not being able to support their shipping requirements, I was told that I needed to hustle more to find new business. Maybe don't set up your employees to fail? -All of the above may have been tolerable if they treated their employees like humans but no. You are treated like actual dirt on the bottom on their shoes. It's a family run business and you can tell that those are the ones who get allllllllll the perks. There are literally zero benefits offered to you. They used to give everyone off for the Jewish holidays but that doesn't even happen anymore. -Their rules make zero sense - you need 30 days to request off any amount of vacation time even though you can literally quit and never come back because its an at will employer... -They think normal healthy hours are 8am-8pm... -They think telling you you're bad at something will make you better at it. They actually had a point system in place ...where if you made some sort of mistake, it was logged and you got a certain amount of points...and whoever had the most points....was basically terrible at their job. I have no idea what they were trying to accomplish with that one. -Upper management doesn't even get along, watching all the directors and VP's is actually comical because they argue like children. -Overall unhealthy and demotivating environment. -Bonuses are awful if you even get one and their standard raise is less than the 3% living increase. Forget about getting a raise or bonus for actually doing a good job, they barely tell you verbally that you're doing well. They also at one point blamed poor bonuses on the fact that they moved offices.... I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that you moving into an office you couldn't afford was my problem?

We are glad you developed such a diverse skill set during your time here. Our AEs are very involved in the process, and are able to then really understand all the inner workings of the product life cycle, enabling them to anticipate and trouble shoot different situations. The “point system” is called an annual review process, that allows us to determine each employee’s performance and is standard in any industry. Increases and bonuses are reflective of each individual’s performance. Information shared during an exit interview is used to continually enhance our work environment for all Associates. Overall our business bestows great responsibility to individuals and for the right person, they reap great rewards.

Good work life balance, decent pay, nice coworkers- good job right out of school

Selling socks (not terribly interesting), could be paid more, need to beg for promotion

Pros

Pros: - Work life balance. You won't stress here over work load and you never work late. Very hybrid and you can take advantage of that. Most days you can easily finish before 5pm. This work load is rare in the fashion industry - The people in design are very friendly and diverse. The team energy is welcoming and that never changed. Cons: - Very small pay compared to industry standards. This is expected because the workload is insanely easy and doesn't require much skills. But with inflation constantly rising, this place is not for a long time to be at. - No growth, dont stay long or you will be stuck. Very hard to find a job when you only have years in socks. - CFT teams do not get along. No collaboration in between. - Managers and seniors stay because of cushion easy positions that may pay fair. So never expect to be promoted cause those positions aren't going anywhere. - No real holiday parties or appreciation to employees. They seemed to think the easy work load and strong hybrid was good enough for their employees and thats it.
