Pros
Professional Development opportunities, building great relationships with great kids, resiliency building skills. Pay can start off skimpy but you can quickly earn more money if you know how to play the game. It is definitely a place where you will grow and learn more about yourself as a person. It does take a lot of grind and work ethic but that is with any teaching job. You can meet wonderful people from all over the world, especially since most staff aren't from the Baltimore area
Kontras
LOTS of administrative tasks that take the joy out of teaching, parent/admin support can be inconsistent. I've even heard parents say they were completely "done" with their children and to no longer contact them. Can be overwhelming starting out and you may question why you joined the profession. They will always pitch the "Remember Your Why" which can be demoralizing and toxic. Co-workers can also be toxic, negative, even some bullies
