BMJ India is an extremely unfair and unethical place to work, despite their tall claims. There are all sorts of mismanagement incidents, things which never get reported and brought to public. They don't treat employees fairly, have unethical working practices. All mismanagement is cleverly hidden from the UK staff. Employees in India are forced to work for long hours, and are not given proper guidance from line managers. The workplace has become so toxic that it has become impossible to work. There are lot of undue pressures and impossible deadlines which are being forced upon employees every day. The HR function in India is absolutely useless. HR doesn't care about employees at all and is only interested in pandering to the management. What can be said further? The reputation of this company is now completely reduced to zero amongst the publishing community. People are aware of the work culture and many of my friends and ex-colleagues have refrained from applying here in the past, saying they were aware of the culture of overwork and stress.
