So BD is basically a scam company that lays off US employees and hires cheap labor from India. Here's how the scam works: during the financial year end (around Jun-Aug), upper management lays off a certain percentage of the US workforce. This is just before their yearly numbers are made public. So they show their investors they have cut costs and are doing great. The execs cut themselves a nice big bonus cheque. The work gets divided among remaining employees without any pay hike. Next, around Sep-Nov, they list out job postings for their India location. Though only a few openings are available, they'll review hundreds of candidates. This way, the whole interview and onboarding process stretches for 3-4 months. The selected candidate gets his/her offer around late Nov or Dec (note that by this time, the new FY has already started in the US). They will also make sure low-ball as much as possible (they will literally bargain till a few thousand rupees of the offer they make). At the time of offer discussion, they promise a hike of 10% and a bonus amount. But when the time comes for this new joiner (who could only join in Dec due to the politics) to have his/her appraisal, they say he/she has not been working for a full FY, so they will not give the full bonus or the promised hike. Any decent, self-respecting employee then decides to leave. And the cycle continues. So if you're considering applying here, beware. Please don't waste your time at this SCAM company!
