Pros
-Projects are organized, expectations are clear -The organization's mission is to help more students get scholarships, so I always feel good about my work -CEO is accessible, great at giving direction, and respects my advice & expertise - a rarity! -The whole team seems to be made up of high performers who appreciate & enjoy each other -Welcoming culture for remote workers, using tools like Slack, Hangouts, etc. to stay in touch during the day -I feel really included in the team even as a freelancer -Clear vision and transparent decision-making from management, with plenty of opportunity for non-managers (and freelancers! unheard of!) to weigh in and offer suggestions/feedback
Kontras
-My AwardSpring rate is less than 50% of my usual freelancing rate, in part because I'm contracted through a staffing agency. I'm afraid that this will limit my potential to work more hours as the organization grows, as it won't make financial sense for me to do so - and I would very much like to take on more AwardSpring projects for all of the reasons mentioned above.
