I am sincerely amazed and confused about the number of negative reviews for Avid from former employees. I have been at Avid for over 7 years, and many other employees have been with Avid for longer than that, and we couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. I wish more of these people would take time to post a review. I’ve seen Avid go through a number of transitions, but we have always been united in our goal of making Alzheimer’s disease preventable. We all work hard at Avid because our mission and goals require it. It is an environment where we are all challenged to give our best effort to be successful; it is not an environment for everyone. I’ve noticed that employees who take an active ownership of their career and development do well at Avid and are recognized and rewarded for their contributions. As for some comments about pay and benefits, previous reviews are simply incorrect. All hourly employees are paid overtime, and all permanent employees are offered a competitive benefits package. Despite what previous reviews say, the HR team genuinely cares about employees and works hard to make sure that Avid is a place where people are happy and motivated to come to work.
