Pros

- Complex product space loaded with fun problems to solve - Great pay and benefits - Highly experienced team - Good work/life harmony - Fully remote (with several in-person offsites each year)

Kontras

- We have grown very fast so process and organizational maturity are still catching up with headcount and customer scale - There are a lot of ways to grow here (knowledge, skills, experiences) but Job Title is not one of them

Pros

I haven't been here long, but let me tell you, this place is such a breath of fresh air from other engineering cultures I've been a part of. The org structure is very flat, with a 'zero micromanagement' vibe across the board. Everyone is empowered to identify blockers, break down work, and get stuff done. This is a dream job for those who are self-starters. All of my colleagues seem genuinely interested in the mission, and take extreme ownership over business outcomes. - Great pay - Awesome perks (weekly lunch stipend, 401k match, great health care, ownership) - Fully remote

Kontras

- Young-ish company, so a lot of processes are being worked on or are in-flight. Still, the engineering bar is very high and it feels like we're moving in the right direction

Pros

- Smart, motivated engineers who care about doing good work - Interesting technical problems and meaningful product goals

Kontras

- Management culture can be inconsistent and anxiety-producing - Feedback often skews toward criticism without sufficient positive reinforcement - Limited psychological safety, especially for senior or staff-level engineers - Family-friendly policies are not always supported in practice - While family leave was described as supported during recruiting, taking parental leave later felt implicitly penalized in practice. - Leadership behavior sometimes included micromanagement and public call-outs, which contributed to a lack of psychological safety. - In my experience, termination decisions could be made abruptly at senior leadership levels without clear communication or alignment with direct managers.
