Pros
AP-Networks is a small, privately owned, tight-knit organization that is an excellent place to work. I know this is cliche, but it really does feel like family, and the company leadership treats people as respected, valued individuals and not just tools to be used to generate revenue. Some of the pros of a consulting job at AP-Networks are: -the ability to learn about and make contacts in companies across the entire petro-chemical industry; -the opportunity to travel all of the US and the world; -the opportunity to improve client relationship management skills; -the opportunity to work on peer-to-peer and upward leadership skills; and -working in an organization that has a very flat structure, which cuts down on bureaucracy.
Kontras
Some cons at working at AP-Networks: -travel and the free-form nature of consulting work, while exciting, can lead to burn-out if you don't take care of yourself; -it can be difficult to reach consensus during internal decision making because the company is a flat organization that spans across 3 countries; and -being a small company, AP-Networks does not always have the resources to big chances, making it a conservative organization slow to branch away from well-trodden paths.
