It’s true that many managers joined Arm as individual contributors, but you don't have to be a manager to progress your career at Arm – we have a number of Fellows who are individual contributors. Managers do have a huge influence on someone’s experience of Arm, which is why the People team is working on providing more guidance – we’ll share more information on this soon.
Transparency around pay rises and promotions is important to us, which is why feedback in the myDevelopment system is not anonymous. Our commitment is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm, differentiating on performance and external market dynamics.
