Once you're in, you're in for life if you want to be. They really don't lay off and it's pretty hard to get fired.

Low quality middle management. They tend to take the worst workers and hope they do better in management positions. They refuse to listen to the opinions of the people who actually run the lines or work on the equipment, instead relying on the inexperienced opinions of this month's technologist or engineer.
