Pros
The business seems to be doing well, ample opportunities for partnering with banks, and success doing so. A few really good people, a few good teams. If you can find a good team you might actually enjoy your work, if you can avoid the drama.
Kontras
Almost everything else. Constant reorgs. And despite the frequency, leadership still has no idea how to reorg teams. At best, your manager will tell you leadership is reorg-ing, and you're being moved to another team, and he doesn't have many details on the plan (if there is one). Amount seems to view employees as tools, not humans. Pay is meh. They understandably cut pay because of covid, but they seem to be using it as an opportunity to keep pay lower. In addition, people are given titles and more responsibility without compensation, or without a plan on evaluating comp adjustment. They justify by saying things like, "This other person has been acting as a manger for years without comp." Leadership is 99% the same as avant. Very boy club bro feel. Reviews for Avant are still very relevant. CTO is an angry boy, sends email shaming all of tech for not working hard enough, ending with "Do more." While his intention might have been to motivate, he approached motivation in the worst way possible. Culture is just sad. very political an untrustworthy.
