10 hour shifts are actually turned into 12+ hour shifts so monthly salary is not actually compensated for all hours work. If I consider the time & a half I was making as an hourly associate with overtime before my Area Manager promotion , I was actually making more hourly as an L3 hourly associate than I am as an L4 Salaried Manager. And External Manager hires gets made more to start than Internal Managers who've earned their promos.
