Pros
-Good benefits - great family leave program, low deductibles for health insurance -Flexible work arrangements (if you are allowed to participate) -5 hour Fridays in the summer (if you are allowed to participate) -Easy commute if you live north of Boston -Great resume builder - employers see Amazon and get excited (really it's not that exciting)
Kontras
-Managers with no management training, old school thought processes and very closed minded -Office is overcrowded, conference rooms have outdated, broken equipment, the office literally smells, no parking -Onsite cafe is gross - have to drive anywhere to get lunch and risk losing your parking spot -No clear advancement path for career, no mentors, no goals -Very hard to get promoted or switch teams -Many teams are understaffed, but managers impede the hiring process for nitpicking every detail about a candidate -Amazon corp is not much is not much better - many managers that shouldn't be managers, antiquated technologies, slow or no processes in place
