Pros
Adarma has a lot of great and friendly people. It's a good place to experience some of what security engineering has to offer in different client environments. It is also a decent place for partnership certifications with the tools they manage for clients.
Kontras
And wow, I never thought I would find myself here. If I would have done this review 6 months in It would have likely been a solid 4/5. As others have pointed out the award winning company Adarma has been built on the back of underpaid engineers and analysts. During my time here I have seen very skilled security engineers leave for better opportunities which is demoralizing. The common factor being "I love the people, but the pay is low, there is no future here." The middle management roles that were meant to help people progress were wiped out and the responsibility fell to already full-time senior engineers who don't even work on your team at no extra salary increase. This results in any form of career growth support being near to non-existent. (Why would senior engineers want to help other engineers be promoted to senior?) There's been rare cases of internal promotions (with no sigfnificant pay raise), but the majority opt for a new job with more benefits, and Adarma opts to bring in bottom talent from universities and keep the top dogs of the company happy. I really like the people I work with. But the pay is miserable for both SOC 24x7 and security engineers despite most of us trying to go above and beyond for this company.
