Pros
Stable schedule, high wages (with an enviable pension), lots of opportunities for overtime, comprehensive on-the-job-training; also, once you're in, you kind of have to TRY to get fired.
Kontras
Extremely unfulfilling; you sort of grind on day after day, with little to no sense of accomplishment at the end of a work day. It's a union shop, with all the fun politics that go along with that (Teamsters LOVE to take those dues out of your check every month, but don't expect them to help you when you really need it). Tattling on the part of employees seems to be highly encouraged - solving problems through civilized discussion is non-existent. Basically, this is a great place to work if you like having a job for the sake of having a job, and making a comfortable living while you're at it. Don't come here expecting to be challenged or motivated, and certainly don't expect to be appreciated. You're a nameless cog in a machine. While there are opportunities to advance to management, doing so means becoming instantly hated by all your former coworkers, and spending the bulk of your day dealing with their petty grievances.
