Here at ARCOS, we have very specific core values that we abide by. "We work as a team" is the value that means so much to me, as an employee. To me, this emphasizes the positive culture that is promoted throughout the workplace. I know that my company and my peers value the work I do. As a team, we work together to solve the industry's toughest challenges.

I cannot emphasize enough the BIGGEST issue of this company, without a doubt, is the fact that YOU, the reader, are not part our team and positive culture! That's something that needs to change with a simple click of the "apply now" button :)

Remote work setup and contractor pay were competitive for the market.
The work itself had potential to be interesting and challenging if the environment had been more supportive.
Kontras
My experience was defined by a very unsupportive manager. As a new contractor, I received minimal onboarding and was expected to “hit the ground running” on complex tasks with almost no guidance. Requests for clarification were met with comments about not needing to “spoonfeed” me rather than actual support.
Feedback was often vague and harsh instead of specific and constructive. I was told that I wasn’t thinking “critically” enough, but expectations for what “good” work looked like were never clearly laid out.
There appeared to be a pattern of high turnover under this supervisor. In my short time there, it was clear that multiple people had cycled through the same role, which says a lot about the culture and leadership in that area.
My contract was ended with language essentially saying I was unable to perform the job, despite my making good‑faith efforts, asking questions, and trying to understand their processes. There was no real opportunity for coaching or improvement—just abrupt termination.
