Pros
When I stared, the pay was much higher than average and benefits were top notch. Lots of support from supervisors, and a modicum of protection from a union.
Kontras
However, in the four years I've been employed here, we've gone through two restructurings, laid off thousands in staff and have now relocated all operational and support jobs out-of-state, at half the Denver-based salary with no relocation package provided. The bureaucratic processes involved in shipment and division of duties in departments leave customers and staff frustrated, and the presence of a union created tension between departments. What was once a dream job has become dead-end and depressing, with apathy, laziness and backstabbing running rampant among employees and staff, and very little regard for customer need or company bottom line.
