* AMD is a hardware company, so even the software you write is substantially different than what you would get to see at other companies. It's a very unique experience that I've generally enjoyed as someone who really likes C * There are some very intelligent people there that I've gained a lot form

* Despite the fact they do have intelligent people, they don't really give them the space and opportunity to thrive * Everything needs to be finished yesterday, very unrealistic deadlines * Morale isn't that great, which can likely be attributed to the fact that they aren't doing so great these days
