Pros
Great pay & raises, paid holidays, increased paid time off, vacation and sick days the more you work, not to mention the benefits offered are pretty solid . You have a lot of responsibility and it garners a lot of mutual respect amongst coworkers. Until management changed, they worked with my school schedule very well. Hard work is noticed, as I was offered a managerial position after only a year of employment and shown ability and dedication.
Kontras
Throwing truck in the morning can be rough if you have had back problems in the past. Tough to obtain normal daylight shifts and you will likely have many closing and daylong (11-7/8 or 12-8/9) shifts when you start. Often asked to come in on days off. When I resumed my full course load at college, I was not given fair shifts or hours and seemed to not be worth as much to them as I did beforehand. However,I did work for one of the worst stores in the district, so these may have been store-specific. It has since seen a major turnover of management at the store and district level as well as a full renovation.
