Pros
You are paid a market beating salary. Each day is different and most certainly challenging. If you can succeed here, you can anywhere. Once you get to Store manager it's very difficult to progress.
Kontras
The work / life balance is not great. If an Area Manager takes a dislike to you, there is very little you can do but grit your teeth and get through it. Some of the expectations are simply not achievable.
