Pros
I left the restaurant business for a career with Aldi. I knew it would quite literally mean blood, sweat, and tears. But it's nothing compared to the job satisfaction I get from knowing I've made a customer smile or laugh. I love the fact that managers will say "please" and "thankyou", and actively recognise your hard work. It's all worth it, if you're willing to be a team player. The company structure means a pay-rise twice a year. What other industry or employer can guarantee that!?
Kontras
I won't lie, it is HARD WORK, and those who are afraid of that would, and should be put off by it. The rest of us don't mind, because we don't mind getting up at stupid o'clock to ensure that produce, chiller, bread and freezer look amazing. Ultimately, it is about teamwork. Future employees need to understand that if you don't put in the effort, you will never get the rewards.
