Pros
- The people here are great - the hiring process is geared towards recruiting intelligent, collaborative workers.
- Big enough to feel stable, but still small enough to feel like your work actually makes a difference.
- Work/life balance is generally good - hours are flexible, many teams can work from home when necessary, and the vacation policy has a recommended minimum, but no limit. The philosophy seems to be "you're an adult, do what you need to do as long as you get your work done".
- New office space is amazing - multiple kitchens, roof deck, motorized standing/sitting desks.
- Senior management is great - incredibly transparent about the company's goals and performance, and they're just as concerned with making the company an awesome place to work as they are with creating a unique, profitable business.
- The typical startuppy stuff - Snacks, beer fridge, dog-friendly office (awesome stress reliever),
Kontras
- Culture can feel a little "live to work" sometimes, but that's a result of hiring motivated people. If you're scared of the occasional 10 hour day this might not be the place for you. The beer fridge softens that blow a little, though.
- No 401K plan at the moment, but as the company grows maybe they'll consider one.
