IMO, snap is totally redefining the space of media. With regard to news, Discover takes the concept of news and almost breaks it down into small, animated slides. Maps redefines the way we interact with social media. We're used to SM either being limited to our spanning network or premeditated text and pictures of a certain moment. Snap Maps takes you realtime into anywhere that has a regional story, and allows you to really be immersed in a single person's moment that they'd like to share. Figured a company that likes to redefine well instituted constructs is definitely worth the time/effort to try and be a part of, whether it be for the innate engineer that wants to build things, or for the wild-out-there thinker who likes to be challenged on a daily basis. Just my take on the company.
