The company reached out to schedule a first round interview with me. I did not hear back after the first round. The person interviewing me was another analyst on the team, as the company does not have a designated recruiter. I believe the questions should have been tailored to my experience and my abilities, but the questions were about theoretical situations. The interviewer also asked questions about my China experience, and he seemed a bit judgmental about some past experiences.

I originally reached out to the firm's founder to connect on LinkedIn. He told me there was a job opening that would suit my background, and connected me with a manager, who conducted the interview. The interview involved basic questions about my background, a couple of scenarios and how I would respond to them, and reading a Chinese paragraph in Mandarin. I felt the interview went well, but they got back to me pretty quickly that they would not continue the process with me. I asked for feedback, but received none.
