Initial Phone Screen followed by a in person meeting where you are interviewed by multiple employees. They really do check if you know what you are talking about so don't go in with 10 pages of a resume and not know your stuff. All in all it is one of the more enjoyable interviews I have done.

A lot of conceptual questions about when and why I would use certain tech. A lot of questions about past experience and why I done certain things in certain scenarios.

Initial process was quick, I applied online and got a call for an on-call pre-screening followed by an in-person interview in a week. I answered the questions well (or participated in the discussion greatly) but since its a growing company and limited staff, they need some proper way to sort candidates who possess good skills. Overall it is a good company with a lot of scope. The interview was for Big Data and a bit of Java but none of them asked a single question on the topic. They didn't had any core questions.

What is HAVING clause used with? (They wanted to hear Group By and Order By, they do not ask white board coding or any test to actually check your skills)
What is Map-reduce?

This one is funny as one guy in the comments below is complaining he was asked random google cloud questions. The founder told me the company is primarily a Google Cloud partner and work heavily in GCP so if you say you have worked in cloud tech on your resume be prepared to back it up is my advise. Beyond that the questions tend to follow your experience i.e if you have a lot of experience in servers or databases they will ask you a lot of detailed questions on this as they will start easy and get progressively harder with their questions to test your level of depth. For me I am from a databases background so they went heavy and very technical into questions on db's and asked me to explain when and where I would use them. I mentioned I had used AWS aswell before and was a little surprised seeing as they are a GCP shop they were able and willing to very technically ask me about AWS and my opinions on their products. Hope this helps any future applicants :)
