I applied through Linkedin. They are expanding to the US and are in the process of finding an office in San Francisco. They contacted me after I applied online. They expressed interest and asked me to answer a series of questions and submit them along with my resume and cover letter. I did and they scheduled an interview with me for the next week.
The interview was fairly straight forward. She asked me questions like “Explain to me in laymen terms what our company does” and “Define customer success and who is our largest competitor?” I asked her about quotas and OTE but she said that she didn’t know the answers to those questions
.
I got an email from HR the next day stating they wouldn’t be moving forward with me as a candidate. She said that the reason behind this decision was that other candidates more closely fit this position's requirement and they are looking for applicants who understand better the market they operate in.
