The interview with the hiring manager was scheduled for 45 minutes and I lost 10 minutes because the interviewer called me late. With 35 minutes remaining, it was challenging to answer all the case study questions. With 10 years of technical experience (of which 3 years were PM related), the interviewer seemed less interested in discussing about my PM experience. The overall impression I had was that the interviewer was trying to check an organizational checkbox to indicate they interview folks from all walks of life. If you look at Waymo PM's on linkedin, they tend to hire PM's from Facebook, Amazon and Apple and mostly folks from the bay area. My advice: If you are not Ivy League material, or if you are not from any of the Big Three's from the Bay Area, don't waste your time with Waymo.
