For kicks, I googled some methods afterwards to see if its a regurgitated problem and turns out it is, with variable renames every year but core codeblock functionality being the same. Someone could literally google and copy solutions... not a good interview process imo. Take home test-esque processes like these should be individual each and every hiring sprint.
