Senior Avaloq Business Analyst / Project Lead (Core Banking)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq Business Analyst / Project Lead to support key Core Banking initiatives within a leading financial services environment. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver critical Avaloq projects, ensuring high-quality solutions and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of a compliance application, coordinating development, testing, and go-live activities.
• Lead the Avaloq Core changes stream as part of release upgrades, including:
• • Assessing the impact and business relevance of Avaloq software changes.
  • Designing functional test cases.
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Preparing release documentation and release notes.
• Drive the resolution of critical audit findings by:
• • Performing business requirements analysis.
  • Defining functional solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinating agile implementation activities with Avaloq development teams.
  • Supporting System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Preparing audit closure documentation and supporting audit sign-off.
• Provide functional support and training to business users through system demonstrations, knowledge sharing, and user documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of business and technology initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Project Lead in Avaloq environments.
• Strong knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking and release management processes.
• Experience with Core Banking change initiatives, migrations, or system enhancements.
• Proven experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and functional design.
• Hands-on experience supporting SIT and UAT.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German/French is an advantage.
• Preferably in Geneva based

Nice to Have

• Avaloq certification.
• Experience in private banking or wealth management.
• Experience with audit remediation, compliance, or regulatory change initiatives.
